GCSE results 2022

On Thursday 25th August, Year 11 students were invited to collect their GCSE results from school.  Mr Elliott said,

"The students attending NESSSS often have barriers which prevent them from achieving as well as students in mainstream school.  This was compounded by the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic AND changes in school structures and leadership at NESSSS.  Despite all of this, NESSSS students produced a bumper set of results which will give them what they need to progress in their post-16 aspirations.  It is difficult to express just how grateful I am to the staff at NESSSS for all of their efforts and hope that the students go on to live their lives through the values which we have embedded within them."

A notable result was Kacper T, who not only achieved all of his target grades but also managed to score two grades beyond his target to achieve a level 5 in English.  Sam H was our highest achieving student, passing 10 qualifications, with Alisha B gaining 7.  Overall 59% of students achieved their target grades or better and 85% managed to gain qualifications in English and maths.

Needless to say, we are extremely proud of all our students and wish them well in their next steps.
